Autumn in the Outdoor Capital
Friday, October 26, 2007

Autumn brings some wild weather to the Highlands but also beautiful colours. Recovering from an illness a few weeks a go I walked around the Hospital Lochan at Glencoe. There are a series of gentle waymarked strolls around grounds planted several centuries ago by a returning eminent Highlander to remind his Canadian wife of home. Its a great place to go in the Autumn because of the variety of trees and woodlands. The walk around the locahan is all ability and a good place to go with youngsters as there are ducks on the lake.
